Who Should Place Implants? The Answer is YOU!
Gordon Christensen has famously called dental implants the greatest invention in the history of dentistry—and it’s hard to argue, as they are also among the most profitable procedures. In fact, many implants are easier to perform than a root canal or surgical extraction, with a success rate of over 95% when you follow the right protocols. Whether you’re just starting your implant journey or looking to improve your success rate with implants, I’m here to guide you down the path of implantology!
Course Objectives:
- Understand how varying bone densities impact implant placement.
- Gain a thorough understanding of screw-retained vs. cement-retained restorations and determine which method best suits your practice.
- Learn the principles and advantages of immediate implant placement.
- Understand the principles and benefits of various sinus lift procedures.
- Explore the principles and benefits of using Locator attachments for overdenture restorations.
- Grasp the principles and advantages of full-arch restorations using AOX techniques.

Noninvasive Treatments for Incipient Caries Lesions and Enamel Defects
Don’t just ‘watch’ non-cavitated proximal lesions, arrest or remineralize them! Help your patients delay or avoid entering the restorative dentistry death cycle with noninvasive caries treatments. This course will review early interventions and nonsurgical options for managing incipient proximal caries lesions, including topical fluorides, silver diamine fluoride, resin infiltration, and remineralization agents. Unsightly congenital enamel defects and
post-orthodontic white spot lesions can be troublesome for many patients. Historically, these blemishes have been treated with invasive and costly resin bondings and veneers. Dealing with these lesions can be difficult for young patients, since they may become a source of embarrassment for the patient, or worse, some may progress to cavitations. This course will review simple and painless options to improve or even completely reverse the appearance of congenital enamel defects and white spot lesions while preserving tooth structure and repairing the patient’s natural enamel.
Course Objectives:
- Review the evidence for noninvasive caries treatments
- Discuss case selection and treatment planning, including the use of AI technology
- Demonstrate the proper application technique for various non-surgical caries treatments
- Review the pros and cons for each technique
AGD subject code: 430
Suggested Audience: All Team Members, especially anyone treating children.
Stimulating the Visual Cortex: Enhancing Diagnosis and Case Acceptance Through Visual Aids
In today’s fast-paced world, patients are bombarded with external stimuli, making it more critical than ever for clinicians to leverage visual technology in examinations. Studies show that patients retain significantly more information when presented with visual aids, improving their under-standing and engagement in their treatment plans. This course will explore how modern diagnostic tools—such as intraoral cameras, digital radiography, advanced imaging, and artificial intelligence - can elevate our ability to diagnose and communicate findings effectively. By integrating these tools into our clinical workflow, we can enhance case acceptance, improve patient education, and boost our confidence in treatment planning.
Course Objectives:
- Optimize Diagnostic Capabilities: Learn how to refine your initial and periodic examinations using advanced visual tools.
- Improve Patient Communication: Understand what to look for during exams and how to present findings in a way that enhances patient comprehension.
- Leverage Photography and Imaging: Discover how intraoral and extraoral photography, digital impressions, and other technologies can increase case acceptance and overall patient trust.
AGD subject code: 730
Suggested Audience: All Team Members, especially anyone communicating directly with patients.
Women in Dentistry: Strong Mind Initiative
Despite societal progress towards gender equality, women still encounter significant disparities in income, power, and representation. An equally pressing concern is the knowledge gap regarding women’s health. The Strong Mind Initiative aims to explore the historical context of “bikini medicine” and advance beyond its outdated methodologies by understanding crucial aspects of the female brain, including associated challenges, risks, and opportunities for optimization. This session will examine vital tools to promote healthy brain function and identify areas for disease prevention in women through dietary practices, exercise, sleep, supplements, stress management, and overall balance. Given that nearly a million women work in the field of dentistry, this course will not only provide personal benefits to attendees but also improve their ability to care for the millions of female patients treated within their practices.
Course Objectives:
- Utilize knowledge to make informed decisions that safeguard brain health, physical well-being, and valuable vitality.
- Comprehend the conditions and reasons for increased susceptibility of the female brain to damage as it ages.
- Examine the prevailing hypothesis involving bacteria, yeast, and the herpes virus, which may trigger a series of events leading to Alzheimer’s disease in both women and men.
- Explore the influence of cardiovascular health, auditory impairment, genetics, insulin resistance, dietary habits, physical activity, and sleep on the risk of cognitive decline.

To this effect, he was a founding member of the BAM (Business as Mission) Center which houses the WIIC. The BAM Center serves the underprivileged of Puebla, Mexico through a water ministry, puppet evangelism
ministry, micro-lending to business start-ups, orphanages and various construction projects. He also is the chairman of the Northeast Tarrant County Dental Clinic which serves underprivileged children in the Mid-Cities area between Dallas and Ft. Worth.
Dr. Wehrle is the founder of the Wehrle Implant Immersion Course (WIIC). He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1989. He immediately took a GPR at Worcester City Hospital and the University of Massachusetts Hospital. This began his constant pursuit of dental excellence through continuing education and resulted in him becoming a fellow in
the Academy of General Dentistry while completing over 1000 hours of continuing education in both orthodontics and implants. Not only is Dr. Wehrle a member of the American Dental Association, American Orthodontic Society and Academy of General Dentistry, but
he is also an Associate Fellow of the American Association of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Wehrle founded the WIIC in 2014 as a way to train dentist in implantology and to fund his mission work in Puebla. It is important to know that since this is a ministry’s ALL the patients are restored
