A Practice Within A Practice?
Begin Your Sleep Journey for Healthier Patients and Healthier Profitability!
As clinicians, we so often hear of services that can improve comprehensive care and bring profitability to the practice. Treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea fits that need with dentists having the ability to screen THOUSANDS of patients each year, and ultimately improve their lives. The problem is that single courses more often than not, leave clinicians needing more information and resources for continued growth. This course, designed for dental teams, will be the beginning of a “sleep journey”, with planned follow-up and implementation strategies in-place for those ready to begin. The lecture will explain the “why” behind dental treatment of O.S.A., followed by an overview of the “how” through an understanding of all the necessary steps required to build a “sleep practice within a practice”. The purpose of this presentation is to help those teams ready to begin their journey and create a template for planned growth and support through our community.
Course Objectives:
- The prevalence & multi-systemic implications of poor sleep and oxygen deprivation
- The definitions and terminology related to sleep disordered breathing
- Understanding the roles of the dental team to take a sleep patient from screening to follow-up
