Course Title: Laser Surgery, Airway, and Regenerative Therapy: It Matters
Course Description: Most dental patients have some type of soft tissue challenge. Many have more than one. In the past, our options in dealing with these inflammatory and disharmony problems were limited. Today, we live in a time of great advances in technology that allows us to address these imbalances effectively and efficiently. This course will review many treatments that can be done with a laser including using fractional laser therapy for snoring and airway challenged patients, intra-oral surgery applications like frenectomies and tongue ties, and non-surgical regenerative applications including TMD disorders. During the presentation, Dr. Parker will be sharing the latest in laser technologies including data that confirm that these therapies work and can benefit our patients and improve treatment outcomes. Join him as he shows cases and techniques to help diagnose and treat some of our more difficult patients.
Course Objectives:
- Learn how technology can improve treatment outcomes
- Understand why chromophore is everything in lasers
- Understand why wavelength, power, and pulse matter
- Learn the difference between LLLT and HILT
