How Much Do We Know About Cannabis? The DEA still considers it illegal to possess. Yet almost every state has enacted legislation aimed at legalizing or decriminalizing cannabis for medical or recreational use. Despite this rise in social and legal acceptance, public health concerns regarding the use of cannabis remain, especially among dental professionals since the major routes of administration of cannabis involves the oral cavity. This program will introduce dental professionals to the pharmacology of cannabis, including its various dosage forms, routes of administration and
adverse reactions. Special emphasis will be placed on the effects of cannabis use on oral health and dental treatment, as well as the proposed use of cannabis in dentistry for the management of patient anxiety and odontogenic pain.

Dr. Wehrle is the founder of the Wehrle Implant Immersion Course (WIIC). He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1989. He immediately took a GPR at Worcester City Hospital and the University of Massachusetts Hospital. This began his constant pursuit of dental excellence through continuing education and resulted in him becoming a fellow in
the Academy of General Dentistry while completing over 1000 hours of continuing education in both orthodontics and implants. Not only is Dr. Wehrle a member of the American Dental Association, American Orthodontic Society and Academy of General Dentistry, but
he is also an Associate Fellow of the American Association of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Wehrle founded the WIIC in 2014 as a way to train dentist in implantology and to fund his mission work in Puebla. The idea was to take the best technology from the United States, and bring it into Mexico, along with the best instructors from around the world to serve the needs of the people of Puebla by placing free implants in a professional and responsible fashion. It is important to know that since this is a ministry’s ALL the patients are restored
to the same level as the patients in his own private practice. Dr. Wehrle also believes that you must actually give back to and serve your fellow man. To this effect, he was a founding member of the BAM (Business as Mission) Center which houses the WIIC. The BAM Center serves the underprivileged of Puebla, Mexico through a water ministry, puppet evangelism
ministry, micro-lending to business start-ups, orphanages and various construction projects. He also is the chairman of the Northeast Tarrant County Dental Clinic which serves underprivileged children in the Mid-Cities area between Dallas and Ft. Worth.

You will clear customs and then pick up bags at baggage claim. You will take all baggage through immigration but only random checks. Exit the airport and look for the ASPIRE sign for your airport transportation. It is a 12-15 minute ride to Hyatt Ziva.

AIDA Education tuition cancellation policy: Attendees must provide written notice of cancellation a minimum of 30 days before the event start date for a full tuition refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made under 30 days from event start date. Registrants that no show for the event will not receive a refund for tuition paid.
The dress code for our event is resort casual. Resort casual includes sun dresses, jeans and t-shirts, shorts, linen shirts, and flip flops.
