Course Description: As Clinicians, our primary objective is to make a correct diagnosis and treatment plan for our patients. This course will demonstrate some unique approaches on how to examine, diagnose and communicate suggested treatment to maximize the care that we provide. Understanding what is vital and what is hype and how to implement easy protocols for the entire team can be a game changer for many practices. This course will educate the entire dental team on how to improve and find greater success with treatment plan acceptance.

Course Objectives:

  • FaceTime – facial recognition of airway problems
  • How to do a two-minute airway assessment with every patient.
  • Airway and occlusion – how these work together for correct diagnosis.
  • What is new with dental implants in the aesthetic zone.
  • Tongue tie identification and treatment from infant to adult.
  • Provide step-by-step procedures for best clinical outcomes.
  • Involving the entire dental team to improve ROI and patient acceptance.
  • Incorporating technology as a diagnostic tool and understanding what to invest in.

Meet the Instructor: Dr Lon McRae

Dr. McRae graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in 1996. He has since built a successful practice in Meridian, Idaho, receiving recognition as the best dental practice in the Treasure Valley. He is a respected lifetime qualified member of the elite Crown Council Dental Association, American Dental Association, International Academy of Dental Implants (IADI), International Academy of Oral Medicine of Toxicology (IAOMT), and International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI). Dr. McRae has been a clinical mentor for cosmetic dentistry with the Hornbrook Clinical Education Group since 2005. He has taught aesthetic dentistry both nationally and internationally. Dr. McRae has had his work published in many publications including The Journal of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is the president of the International Academy of Dental Implantology (IADI), a diplomate of the IADI, and a fellow of the ICOI. He is the clinical director of implants for Utah Valley Dental Lab as well as the developer of the One Stage Implant with Improved Immediate Loading.
