Pain Management, Prescribing Requirements, and Opioid Abuse: Strategies for Dentists and Hygienists

Beginning June 27, 2023, practitioners who are renewing or applying for a new controlled substance DEA license must complete 8-hours of substance use disorder (SUD) training. This training may be applied towards that requirement.

In addition, this course will help fulfill the requirement for “pain management” education in states that require it.

Course Description:

This course is designed to educate dentists and dental hygienists on current principles and techniques for the management of pain and prevention of opioid abuse.

The course includes a digital workbook which will be provided to all participants

Meet the Instructors: Karson Carpenter, DDS

Dr. Karson L Carpenter is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and serves as President of Compliance Training Partners. For over 25 years, he has designed practical continuing education programs to help bring dental professionals into compliance with the regulations that affect them.
